Data collection techniques are carried out by observation. The gap between the actual and planned scheduling level (productivity gap) is a problem that must be evaluated and the root cause that causes the decline in work productivity is sought. After further evaluation, it is planned to re-target the acceleration that will be achieved both in the short and long term. As an effort to recycle this pollutant, styrofoam can be utilized as an additive in asphalt concrete mixture. The use of additives aims to create a flexible pavement layer having good performance and meet the requirements. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the addition of styrofoam can improve the quality of asphalt mixtures, and look for alternative additives that can increase asphalt pavement performance.&nbsp;</em><em>In this study, researchers used food container styrofoam as an addition and incorforated into Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) mixture. The styrofoam content was 6.5%; 6.75%; 7% ; 7.25%; and 7.5% of asphalt weight. The optimum asphalt contentused is 5.5%. The value of the optimum stability was 3126,002 kg, found at 7.25% of styrofoam content. To improve soft soils as one part of the construction of them is the method of chemical stabilization of the soil. The stabilizer material mixed was 10% glass powder and the percentage of husk ash was 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% of the dry weight of the original soil sample. Changes in the characteristics of soft soil and stabilized soils are reviewed based on </em><em>the </em><em>consolidation</em><em> test. Based on the results of the study, the value of the void ratio decreases with increasing glass dust and husk ash, where the lowest void ratio is 0.5328 obtained in the addition of 10% glass powder and 7.5% husk ash. A decrease in the void ratio indicates a decrease in the compression index (Cc) and the swelling index (Cs). The lowering of the compression index and the swelling index indicate that the addition of glass powder and husk ash causes the soft soil sample to become </em><em>denser</em><em><span style="text-decoration: line-through;">.</span></em><em> The lowest compressive index and swelling index values ​​were obtained in soil sample specimens with the addition of 10% glass powder and 10% husk ash, which respectively decreased by 35.165% and 75.757% when compared to the condition of the original soil sample.</em></p> Dyah Pratiwi Kusumastuti Irma Sepriyanna Sepriyanna ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2019-11-27 2019-11-27 8 2 63 70 10.33322/forummekanika.v8i2.882 Pengaruh Variasi Bentuk Potongan Agregat Bambu Petung Terhadap Berat Jenis dan Kuat Tekan Beton Ringan https://stt-pln.e-journal.id/forummekanika/article/view/656 <p><em>The use of bamboo as an aggregate substitution is an effort to reduce the specific gravity of concrete, especially in the production of lightweight concrete. The use of bamboo material has the consequence of decreasing the compressive strength value of concrete. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of the use of bamboo substitution on concrete on the compressive strength and specific gravity values. The bamboo material used is sized 15-30 mm in various shapes. The type of bamboo used is petung bamboo (Dendrocalamus Asper). As for the variations in the use of bamboo in the test specimens are 50% and 75% pieces of bamboo of the same shape, 50% and 75% pieces of bamboo form variations, of the weight of coarse aggregate. The research sample is in the form of a cube test object with a size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm. Based on the results of the study there was a decrease in the value of the concrete mortar slump along with the addition of the percentage of bamboo aggregate substitution. Concrete absorbs water which is indicated by an increase in water absorption in concrete test specimens which reaches 4.81%. The decrease also occurs in the specific gravity and compressive strength of the test specimen. The minimum value of average concrete density with bamboo substitution for various variations was obtained at 1902.2 kg/m<sup>3</sup> (Bamboo Test Objects with Variation Shape 75%), and a maximum of 1991.1 kg/m<sup>3</sup> (Bamboo Test Objects with 50% Equal Shape and Objects Bamboo Test Variation in the Form of 50%). The maximum compressive strength value is 135.1 kg/cm<sup>2</sup> (Bamboo Test Objects of the Same Shape of 50%) and a minimum of 104.4 kg/cm<sup>2</sup> (Bamboo Test Objects of 75% Variation Shape). Penggunaan beton secara massal akan berdampak pada lingkungan dengan semakin banyaknya eksplorasi material-material penyusunnya. Maka dari itu diperlukan suatu upaya untuk mengurangi resiko kerusakan lingkungan, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan sisa limbah plastik. Bubuk fosfor strontium digunakan dengan harapan tercipta beton yang dapat berpendar saat gelap. Namun bubuk fosfor strontium masih belum banyak digunakan untuk campuran beton. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan limbah plastik dan bubuk fosfor strontium dalam hal kuat tekan beton. Penelitian yang akan dilakukan terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, pertama tahap identifikasi masalah dan bahan material penyusun beton, sehingga dapat diketahui karakteristik dari material tersebut. Tahap kedua yaitu&nbsp; desain campuran (<em>mix design) </em>beton yang menggunakan pedoman SNI 03-2834-2000. Tahap ketiga pembuatan benda uji kuat tekan dan panel beton yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Tahap keempat yaitu pengujian benda uji kuat tekan beton serta analisa hasil pengujian.
